    Greetings,

I upgraded Suffusion and lost most of my settings (probably because I did not disable my plug-ins)…but anyway…I decided to re-do the look of my whole site and have been pretty pleased that I have been able to learn how to do it, as well as all of the option capabilities inherent in Suffusion.

I have one last problem. My Categories and Archives are still hanging down at the bottom since I upgraded. No matter what I do I cannot get them up at the top right underneath the Nav Bar where they used to be. I am unfamiliar with code, but should be able to fix it by just using the menus.

Can somebody take a look at it to see what I mean? (www.chinacarnella.com) When I go into Widgets or into editing Suffusion (through the menus), if I add the Archives, Categories, Subscribe and Translate widgets (that were all previously there prior to upgrade), it simply adds them UNDERNEATH the ones that are already there at the bottom.

Is there something that I am missing? If I am simply duplicating something that is already there, where can I edit what is already there (i.e., what is hanging out at the bottom) and bring it back up to the upper left where it belongs?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Irrespective of your plugins Suffusion never deletes any settings. You might have upgraded from a very old version of Suffusion (3.4.3 or older), in which case the introductory page of your options advises you to look at the settings under Introduction → Upgrades – your older options would have been migrated to the newer format with a single click.

Anyway, since you have done the hard yards, to answer your original question, I am not sure if I understand you. Are you saying you want everything to be tabbed? You should add them to the Wide Sidebar (Top) from your widgets administration screen. You should also add the Categories and Archives widgets to this wide sidebar, and delete them from Blog Features → Tabbed Sidebar.

    Hi Sayontan,

Thank you for your prompt response. What you said sounded like really good info, and I went into my site and, before going ahead and following your instructions, I just checked the home page and “voila!” the Archives and Categories were exactly where I had wanted them to be … (like you said) the Wide Sidebar (Top), instead of hanging down at the very bottom below my post. Perhaps just closing out of Safari for a few hours and coming back reloaded something? Well anyway, I am going to keep your info ready for the future so that the next upgrade might go a little smoother.

    Thanks for everything –
