• When I enable tooltips, as soon as I mouseover the social icons, the webpage jumps to the top. if I disable tooltips this does not happen.

    any suggestions for a fix?

also, is there any way to turn off the email validation. i want to use the email social for a link instead of an actual email address.

    thanks!

    Hi there,

    1. What browser are you using? If you go to this address do the examples do the same thing?: http://iamceege.github.io/tooltipster/

    2. I’m working on this – I also ran into an issue where I wanted to link to the contact page instead of an email – the next version will allow both 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi, thanks for the reply

    1. its not the browser, looks like its conflicting with a map widget i have on the same page (doesn’t happen on other pages). just as the tool tip is about to appear, the page jumps to the top.

    2. great 🙂

Which map widget is it? I can see if there’s anything I can do on my end to fix it – but there’s a possibility the two won’t work together depending on how the widget is developed.

sorry, I should have been more specific, its built into the theme, not actually a widget. I assume it uses some script to allow map navigation and that is what is causing the conflict.

    thanks

Which theme is it? Any way for me to test it and see if I can find a solution?

its a custom theme, perhaps i can share the link over PM if thats OK

(i dont want to post it here)

You can email it to me at support@generatepress.com (I think that’s allowed, mods?).

    will do, thanks 🙂

Who needs tooltips from the plugin when the browser makes its own? I know, maybe you don’t like those. 🙂 An issue is that every plugin will have its own style of tooltip and your site will be inconsistent. Of course, some people don’t care about consistency as much as I do. Speaking of consistency, it would be great to have a lightweight social media post-sharing plugin that uses these same icons.
