The plugin works only when another Classic Editor plugin is enabled. When it is turned off, no visual editor works. It happened after the WP update to the latest version. Do you plan any update?

Yep, working on an update right now. TinyMCE Advanced still works pretty well inside the Classic Block in the new Block Editor, will try to extend that 🙂

Just pushed 4.8.1 with support for WordPress 5.0 and the Block Editor 🙂

    I can’t make it work. 🙁
Do I need to activate Gutenberg plugin?

Right now, I deactivate Gutenberg and Classic Editor.
So, the Editor I have is the Block one. But I can’t see the toolbar that TinyMCE is for.

I copied all instructions (enable checkboxes) in the screenshots provided here.
