THumbnail Generation Alert issues

    I am getting this error message on thumbnails. I have not been able to fix the error.

    Any suggestions?

    Thumbnail Generation Alert!
    There is a problem generating thumbnails for your galleries. There could be a number of reasons which could cause this problem.
    If thumbnails cannot be generated, then full-sized, uncropped images will be used instead. This will result in slow page load times, and thumbnails that do not look correct.

    When I run the test I get this message

    Thumbnail generation test failed!object(WP_Error)#1293 (2) { [“errors”]=> array(1) { [“invalid_image”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(21) “File is not an image.” } } [“error_data”]=> array(1) { [“invalid_image”]=> string(40) “https://s3.amazonaws.com/foocdn/test.jpg” } } array(2) { [“ext”]=> string(3) “jpg” [“type”]=> string(10) “image/jpeg” }
    Test to see if FooGallery can generate the thumbnails it needs.

    Any help or suggestions?

    Hi @lorend

    It seems your WP install cannot access the test file https://s3.amazonaws.com/foocdn/test.jpg for some reason.

    A few questions to start with:
    Under FooGallery -> System Info, what does it have for “Thumbnail Generation Test”?
    What host are you using?

    Here is the message I get when I run tests. The site is hosted on a private server at my friends computer company. Thanks for any suggestions

    That is where I get the error message above when I run the thumbnail generation test.

    I wonder if I need an updated program on the host. I have not changed anything other than running the updates for the plugins

    Yes, we understand you’re seeing the error. Would you please go to FooGallery -> System info and copy and paste the line that starts with:

    Thumbnail Generation Test :

    Are you still having this issue? If so, are you able to post the entire contents of FooGallery -> System Info back here so we can take a look for you?
