    I would like to know if TranslatePress can work with the template of a theme. Say, if the Front Page is a template in English, can the contents in the template be translated into another language?

    Yes, you can translate them from the Translation Editor directly.
    P.S Please keep in mind that the default language should be the same in the WordPress settings and in TranslatePress settings.
