There is no approval process.
Did you upload through ftp or through the dashboard?
Was it a zipped file?

No I mean I uploaded it to the WP directory for other people to download.

So if I understand you correctly, you want to have a download link for the themes on your site.
So you upload the theme to a file of choice. and then add to the html:
<a href="http://www.address of file">Text Document</a>

There is a WP directory where people go to download themes.
I am building themes and I want to post a theme on there for other people to download.
Gosh, you’re way ahead of me. Developing new themes!

if you are uploading themes to wordpress, there is an approval process. The amount o ftime it takes varies….. it’s never taken more than a couple of days for me…

The only other issue is that I didnt get the automatic response email they said I should get, is there a way to check what happened?
hmm…Its been a bit since I’ve uploaded a theme. I can’t recall how long any email took to come through. Did you get any kind of instant feedback when you submitted your theme? Any message on the screen or anything?
Ya it said I should be receiving a confirmation email immediately and nothing came.
and it acknowledged the upload
hmmm…well, it sounds like they got your theme then at least…..not sure where your email went tho….
