Theme Update & Personalization

I’ve personalized my header and sidebar with some good results and some unresolved challenges (using Librio 0.7.2 theme):

1) RSS subscribe button results in error page (Feedburner doesn’t recognize my blog either: http://clearaction.biz/blog)

2) are there instructions somewhere for adapting HTML placeholders, or are these not placeholders but intended to be untouched? example: content=”<?php bloginfo(‘html_type’); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo(‘charset’); ?>” />

3) my theme recently updated to Librio 1.0 and the designer says many bugs were worked out — are there instructions somewhere for updating my earlier version of this theme to the new version?

4) I’ve got Yahoo!Store-Wordpress version 2.3.3 — are there instructions somewhere for transitioning to the latest WordPress version?

I’ve downoaded the new files for Librio and WordPress, but don’t know how to update my own files with these, without screwing up my existing content.
