The theme previews are working fine for me.

Not sure what you’re seeing. The second screenshot looks like a normal preview of Kubrick, yes? Have you tried changing browsers or using another machine?

Yes I’ve tried both and all I ever see is Kubrick
Weird! What browser(s) are you using and how long has this been happening? Have you tried emptying the browser cache?

for buddypress colours:
Child theme for the Default BuddyPress 1.2 theme with just the colours in a stylesheet
So it looks like an issue with child themes specifically.

I’ve had this happen to me today on Google Chrome, Safari, and IExplore 8 in Windows 7. This problem has been happening for me for a while now on multiple operating systems and browsers.

@rich this is not just this theme specifically, this is all themes
I’ve alerted those with access to the Theme Directory about the issues with BuddyPress child themes.
The Theme Directory isn’t really set up to handle child themes yet (although that might change at some point) which explains why it’s effectively falling back to Kubrick (the old default) for these themes specifically. Non-child themes should be fine, though.

azend, can you give an example of a non child theme where you see the error.
