Theme not found

    I download the default theme from my blog.
    I edit the first few lines of the style.css, because I want to develop my own theme.
    I only change the author information, but leave everything else intact.
    I then remove the default theme from my server and upload the new theme.

    The theme is not found in the theme selector of the blog.

    Solution?

    The system is looking for information on the original theme from header.php which is no longer there. Hence – it can’t display anything.

    What do you mean, it’s not there.
    I changed the author name, the author url etc.
    But I did not remove that information.

    Besides, I downloaded another theme called “inove” and it was not found, either.

    I am beginning to think there are some incompatibilities with this new wordpress version.
