• I have a client’s wordpress install at http://roccos.hublermedia.com. But Its time to take the site live on their domain, http://www.roccosdentalstudio.com/home. After having to do a clean install of wordpress, I’m trying to install the theme I’m using by uploading from my local machine. The theme shows up in the wp-content/themes directory, displays in the admin themes panel, BUT when previewed or activated, the site goes blank & nothing shows up. I tried installing an available theme from the ‘search’ option in admin & that worked fine, but apparently there’s some hiccup when installing a theme from my local machine. I’m at a loss and any help would be appreciated!!

  • I had this same issue yesterday. I modified the rows in the database table (wp_options), stylesheet and template values to any other template that I knew would work. In my case that was the abcok theme.

    Good luck.

I had to do the same thing after I applied the theme. Bummer is though, the site is built around the theme that won’t work. I can’t seem to figure out what the disconnect is, (why it’s the only theme that won’t work on the new server).

I spent several hours scouring the internet for suggestions on how to fix it and tried several things but none worked. I gave up on that theme and decided to go back to one I knew worked. I also have found that when you preview a theme and it shows nothing but a blank, white page, odds are thats what you will see if you apply the them.
