The first thing you may want to do is see if there is any documentation inside the theme directory that instructs on proper installation of the Avenue theme. The second thing, will be contacting support at themesector.com or themeforest.net for support and instructions on how to repair the theme, if it is not simply an installation related issue. Because the theme is commercial in nature, it would be unlikely that most who assist here would have any access to the theme files. Plus, you probably paid for support when you bought the theme.
No I didn’t pay for anything I downloaded the theme from

I re-installed the theme just now but I’m getting this error message

The theme download links on the page you referenced are all links to sites where the theme can be downloaded through “file sharing”. Essentially, the theme is stolen. It is a commercial theme that is offered for a relatively small fee. You should consider either purchasing the theme, or not using it at all. Two reasons:
1) you have no idea what potentially dangerous alterations have been made to the theme by whoever you got it from
2) if you got it from any of the links on that page, it’s stolen, not free.
Whats the difference I’ll probably still have the same problem so why can’t we just fix this currenr problem right now?
The main difference is, that I (meaning me, personally) have too much respect for the people who create these themes, and won’t help you fix a commercial theme I know you got from one of those links. You’re certainly welcome to see if someone else will, though.
The secondary reasons, are that commercial theme files are usually not readily accessible to most folks here in the forum who try to help out, because, well… one would actually have to pay for them. 🙂 Lastly, when you purchase a commercial theme, it usually includes support from the theme developer, which is most often obtainable from the support group found at the point of purchase.
I noticed that this same thing is happening even with the defealt wordpress themes so whats going on?
I just want to get this theme to work properply!
I bought the theme and it’s still causing me trouble
