Theme Help Please

    I know this may seem trivial to some but. i tried downloading a new them for my site http://www.philosophysource.org. So in FTP client I erased the classis and default theme, uploaded the new one, and now nothing shows up on my site it is just a blank white screen.

    I cant even get the default or classic them back. Does anyone know why this would happen or can help me get it back? Ive tried it a 100 times so I must be doing something wrong. Using FTP client i did it the same as I have always done.

    Any help would be great. thanks!

    Who told you to delete the default? Upload it back.
    Your new theme is NOT selected (yet) to be used to display the blog and in cases when no theme is selected or they are deleted, WP tries to fall back to the default (that’s why it is called “default”). Not finding it… you get the blank screen.

    Thanks! i got my original default theme back. Is there a reason why the ne themes dont work and dont show up on my design page? Does it take a long time for it to come through?

    Not, it should take no time: upload and it should be visible.
    If you don’t see them, you may not upload it correctly. Check for duplicate (nested) folders. Make sure you use compatible themes.

    clear your cache in your browser. then hit reload.

    Well, it’s a bit different for each browser but usually in ‘preferences’ menu.

    firefox is tools and clear private data. Then tick the clear cache box
