The widget "Index Top" do not function.

    Good afternoon!

    I am designing a portfolio on my domain, using the theme Gallery and I wanna add a drop-down menu of idioms on the top of header, at the right side and further the links to Twitter, linkedIN e facebook as the image displays:

    The theme came with 13 widget areas, and I guess this is the best one to my case:
    Index Top: The top widget area displayed on the index page.

    Inside this area I dragged the elements I wanted, I have saved, however they are not displayed on my page. Can somebody help me?
