The new version is installed

I’ve upgraded my WordPress to version 2.3.1. I’m a newbie and my administration panel indicates I still need to upgrade. I basically followed the upgrade instructions by deleting the suggested files and folders and replaced with the 2.3.1 content. I also ran the update withing wp-admin. Is there something else I should be doing?
