Did you use the Alex King Theme browser? That will aid your search somewhat because it allows you to actually see a theme before downloading and installing.
Here is a list of 325+ themes that is comperhensive but you have no ability to see the end result.
As for your requiremments. the chance that you will find a theme that includes a wide table included as part of it’s design is slim to none. Probably zero in fact.
I would suggest finding one that meets your width req and run with it. A single col theme is faily easy to modify to meet your width req if you find a design the fits but is too narrow.
Except for special situations tables aren’t used anymore for a variety of reasons.

thank you guys for the direction… I’m going to try to scour the 325 plus themes…..if you happen to find anything similar to noah’s design please send me that way…….otherwise I think it’s time for me the learn some CSS and try to dissect a theme on my own. Thanks again
I think if you do a little poking around the codex regarding theme development, that design reall wouldn’t be that difficult recreate.

any idea on which theme might be the easiest to deconstruct in order to get the end result that I’m looking for? should I work with the current design. I have a my web site at http://www.ChazSouthard.org and eliminate one side column or would it be just easier to find another theme that would be more workable to fit my needs—— there are so many choices hmmmmmm
If you know anything about graphics and photography, you might be able to create your own images to use with a theme you design. Of course, you don’t need images to create a theme, but it helps. 🙂
It’s not like the Noah Grey theme, but for the record, one I don’t recommend deconstructing is Borderline Chaos. I just worked with it and got it how I want (I really love the colors), but it requires a bunch of editing, because while some files call the sidebar, others include code for the sidebar, so you have to cut that out and put in a call for the sidebar (unless you want to edit the sidebar code in every file, and any time you want to change it, you have to edit every file using that code, rather than just the one file you’d use by calling it with PHP). It’s not that it’s complicated, just tedious. However, if you decide you want to use that theme, and don’t want to “neaten up” the files, I’ll be happy to send you the ones I’ve “fixed,” and you can edit them as you wish.
