A little off-topic, but how did you get the shaded part of your gallery to only cover that much of the image? Our slideshow shader comes up and covers nearly half of the image! Thanks.
Hi i recently installed a new theme,The Gazette Edition and I can’t get the featured slide show to work.It just shows the black box and the loading bar in it
I too have this issue. Can you share the steps you took to get it to work? It seems if I set
showCarousel: true,
then it will display the ‘custom field’ “image” but not “featured” or “thumb”. Problem is, the previous designer/developer had showCarousel: false for a reason I think.
I’m just not sure why its only showing the loading bar. I have 5 featured posts.

then installed the plugins: YABP and D13slideshow and resolve the issue, but I know other people here in the forum to resolve and I think it was not so. it is a shame not to share! 🙁
