• I am using this plugin in conjunction with BuddyPress. On my sites registration page, found here – http://milemarker20.com/register/

I’d like users who create an account to be subscribed to the email list by default. In order to do this I need a check box people can tick that confirms they agree to the terms and conditions. I don’t want anyone giving me their email who hasn’t agreed to the terms of the site.

I was hoping I could do this by changing the text ‘Yes, I’d love to subscribe.’ to something like ‘I agree to the terms and conditions.’ where ‘terms and conditions’ would be hyperlinked to another page with the full t&c.

I would then disable the email confirmation Mailchimp sends out to prevent redundancy since I would have already collected consent to be emailed by virtue of them creating their account.

It all seemed to work until I tried to click the hyperlink in the url I listed above, for some reason it is creating a very strange destination URL that appends what I have in the field entry with the url of the page. So it forms this – http://milemarker20.com/register/milemarker20.com/terms-and-conditions/ which of course is not a real url.

Help? Suggestions? I want users who complete registration to both agree to terms AND be automatically added to the mailchimp list without having to click inside 2 separate ‘confirmation’ emails.
