I am completely new to WordPress; am a web developer using mainly ColdFusion.

A client wants to start using WP to redo his website, which I’m hosting.

My usual procedure with a client with active domain, is to have IIS set up with an address, such as:

    develop.myDomain.com

Then after all is set, just make it myDomain.com and point to same file structure as the development one.

I see two of the adm settings are for WordPress Address (URL) and Blog Address (URL).

Can I set up things like this: temporary address, client does the development; then make public with permenate address? I assume I’d need to do something with these WordPress Address and Blog address. Can that be done?

Appreciate any help/advice so I can get started.

    Thanks!
    Keith
