Where did you download this theme from?
My local drive…thanks for responding. I really appreciate it.

OK – let’s try again…
Where did you originally download this theme from?
I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.
Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme and a pre-made 2014 child theme?
Hello ESMI,
I can certainly try using the 2014 theme. I have already tried to contact the author regarding this issue; however, their website is in a perpetual state of “under construction”. It is very frustrating for me. I am a long – time web development company owner using WP for the first time.
I will try to replicate the issue and get back with you. Again, thank you for contacting me so quickly. I really appreciate it.
Matthew
I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with the theme developers. That’s one reason why we so often recommend that you install themes from wordpress.org. Added to which, the themes here are free & quality reviewed.
esmi,
Lesson learned my friend…lesson learned.
OK. I plugged in the 2014 theme and all my woes have disappeared. By the way, I was also having problems like the edit font being white on a white background, pictures not importing into the page at all, etc. I will just peruse the WB site for a new theme, copy all of my existing work in the bad theme to MS Word, then add and edit to the new WP theme. Take care and have a great evening!!!
Matthew
Glad to hear that you have at least got to the bottom of this. 🙂
