I’m struggling to reactivate my website, which is hosted on DomainsVision & created on WordPress.org using a child theme.

I’m getting a technical difficulties window, but when I tried to get through to the admin window, I couldn’t sign in to the dashboard.

I think I may have been hacked or blocked somehow because my username & both of my emails don’t work. I created a new profile in case that helped but it hasn’t helped me get access to my admin account.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

    Leah

Your WordPress installation appears to be very old; this text has not been available for some time. In any case, there is a fatal error on the server side that prevents WordPress from displaying pages.

This article describes the issue in more detail and provides solutions: https://kinsta.com/blog/the-site-is-experiencing-technical-difficulties/

Overall, I would recommend contacting your host’s support team. They should be able to assess what the specific problem is. My suspicion would be that your WordPress is too old and your host has changed the PHP version, which means your WordPress is no longer compatible. However, as I said, only your host can tell you more.

Note: wordpress.org does not host websites. It is only concerned with the development of open source software. I suspect that DomainsVision is your host as well as your domain provider.

    Hi Leah,

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I know it’s indeed frustrating when your site won’t load or let you log in.

This error is usually caused by either a plugin or theme error, not necessarily that your account is hacked or blocked.

Please try this first (it’s the simplest option):

    1. <span style=”box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;”>Check your email inbox and spam folder for an email from WordPress regarding the technical issue with your site.</span>
    2. Click the link in the email to access your admin dashboard in Recovery Mode. This will allow you to log in safely and resolve the issue.

Once logged in, deactivate any recently added plugin or your child theme and test to see if the technical issue gets fixed.

Let me know how it goes.

    Cheers,

    Jim
