• [table id=1/] displays the TablePress shortcode instead of the actual table in the right hand sidebar of Sydney Theme v2.14. This error identified after update from 2.02 to 2.14. There is nothing wrong with TablePress. Its tables correctly display in main text of any page found on my site: http://www.enigmar.net.

Would appreciate some ideas as research so far failed to offer a solution. Many thanks.

  • Hi @nigelbenetton,

I checked your page and the tablepress shows up properly.

If you used block-based widget editor, you might need to use the Shortcode block to insert any shortcode.

    Hello, Kharis,
After logging my query with you I later worked out that Widget functionality may have been changed by a WordPress update. Whereas [Table ID=N /] displayed the table correctly before when placed in an HTML widget, it no longer worked (as I had indicated). What you see now is the result of my fix by placing the shortcode [table ID=N /] in a Text widget instead. I daresay I should have done that in the first place a few years ago!

I log this now for future reference for anyone interested.
Once again thank you for your help. It is always very much appreciated.
