Table or Divs for formatting post

I would like to do something like twitter, on my main page, have my author pic on the left and my content and stuff on the right but I’m not sure if its better to use table or divs to do this.

I was thinking of something with tabs, but i dunno. I’m not sure how you would do this in divs.
