Table highlighting

Hi,

I’m working on a post that has a 2×6 table which I inserted in the HTML tab. Now, the problem is whenever I hover over any of the columns the other goes white. I fixed this on the left column by setting a css entry for the hover case so that it wouldn’t be affected, however, when I hover over the right column the left column of that row goes completely white [overriding background image, possible not text but its white anyway].
I’ve already tried setting the second column to a class that would do nothing on hover but it didn’t work.

How can I fix this?
