Being new this I have lots of questions, but for now I would like to resolve this one issue. Any attempt to login or view a .php file gives me a blank screen (white). I do have an error logged “[12-Dec-2015 21:23:34] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or ‘(‘ in /home4/buildjy0/public_html/wp-content/themes/oriana/lib/kirki/includes/Kirki.php on line 3”. This is in the them oriana. Can I comment out line 3 or activate a different theme manually through the cpanel. I do see others having this problem and also with the theme Ingleside but I don’t see how to even check my version of php without access. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • You can ask your web host what version of PHP you’re running on or within cPanel you can check your version by checking the Stats panel of your cPanel dashboard. However the PHP error from your code looks like it’s from your theme.

Can you try re-installing your theme with a fresh download?

As well you can add other themes to cPanel, you just have to make sure you’re uploading the new theme to the correct directory within wp-contents.

See the documentation here, Adding new themes by using cPanel

If you head over to the Themes and Templates topic of this forum you might be able to get more assistance or post a future question relating to your theme.
