As a follow up to this, once I do get sync up and running, is there a way for me to limit what gets sync’d? For instance, can I limit sync to just inventory and not sync photos or descriptions?
Hi there!
I’d like to turn on sync but have all the individual products turned off by default so that I can try one product at a time. Is this the default behavior?
As per How to Enable Syncing – Documentation, to share product information & inventory between Square and WooCommerce, you must enable syncing for that product. Which means you get to decide what products need to be synced.
can I limit sync to just inventory and not sync photos or descriptions?
That is not currently possible. There is an existing feature request regarding this topic in the ideas board.
Please vote (optionally, comment) on the topic so that it gets more visibility. This is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.
OK – so to be clear – are you telling me that no products will sync when I turn sync on initially because they are defaulted to NOT sync?
Thanks,
Craig
Hi @craigradius,
Which System of Record are you going to use? Square or WooCommerce?
We are going to use WooCommerce and only select a small subset of products to be synchronized
We tried this out and except for the non selectable synch, it worked.
I’m interested in knowing if I can assign a SKU to the shipping. Is that possible?

Can you please clarify what didn’t work exactly?

SKU can only be assigned to a product. Is there any reason why you’d want that?
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
