Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

Thanks Esmi. Brilliant simplicity.
I began by switching the theme to the default, and then refreshed my Google Reader to see the feed. I did this refresh each time I turned something back on.
The sad thing is all the plugins are back on, the theme is back to my customized “plainscape” and I can’t tell what caused the problem or what fixed it. Turning everything off and switching the theme to neutral, fixed it straight way. The good news is, well . . . apparently the problem is solved.
Except for this small snag. My Typocurious blog has a brother blog (LawsonArchive.com) that is essentially the same theme with a small graphics alteration and a few CSS tweeks. Same WP version, same plugins, same everthing under the hood. The “smile face, book mark it, etc” problem reared its ugly head there too when Typocurious’s problems happened.
The insane making point I’m trying to make? That I turned all its plugins off and switched the theme to neutral (the solution that proved useful for its brother) does not appear to be working for the LawsonArchive.
I checked and “Summary” is checked. They are two twins blogs. Why they aren’t acting the same is beyond me.
Any thoughts? I appreciate your input.
I’m having the opposite problem… I have had “Full Text” selected since the beginning, but am only getting summaries.
I’ve tried de-activating my plugins (I only have three) and going to default theme, but no luck 🙁
This is the blog in question: http://blog.universalsubtitles.org/
I have the same problem, and tried everything mentioned above. de-activated everything even went back to default theme and still cannot get just a the summary of my post showing?
Is there a solution or does everyone using the newest version of wordpree experience this?
thanks
The solution varies but posting to a “resolved” topic isn’t the best place to start asking for help.
sorry i’m new at all this and trying to get answers. can you make a suggestion that does not require the knowledge of HTML coding?
Start a new topic – preferably with a description of your problem.
