Summary display is full text

I have a blog for which I set “For each article in a feed, show” as “Summary” several hours ago, but people looking at the blog get the full text for every posting, not a summary. I am using the “Ecclesiastical” template.

What may be the cause of this problem? I did not have it with the “Church” template, but this setting should surely apply irrespective of the template.
