Summaries disappeared!

In one of the recent updates to WP or the facebook plugin, post summaries disappeared. Now when I am editing a post and hit publish, what gets published to my wall is a generic description from my site, not the post summary as before. (although the LINK seems to be correct) This was fine and working for a couple of years without issue, until god knows what changes you made. Please help, this is super annoying.
