Subscribers From Poland

Hello,
During the past 2 weeks I have had subscribers sign up to:
http://whereisbuddylee.com
The emails are from Poland.
I installed a plugin called “Ban Hammer” to prevent emails from
email addresses that I list.

Are there other ways to protect the blog from unwanted visitors?
