The “Submit Comment” button for me looks very much different from how a normal button is supposed to look. It’s square and has an ugly shade of color to it and seems to not really have any style associated with it. And for the life of me I cannot figure why it doesn’t look like a normal button and I can’t figure out what is telling the button to look like this. There is absolutely nothing in my stylesheet telling the button to do this.

Here is a picture of said button:

    BUTTON

I am using the minimalistic1.5 1.0 theme by the way.

I did… it’s right there in capital letters “BUTTON”

Looking at a picture isn’t nearly as useful as being able to examine the underlying CSS… which is probably what dwzemens had in mind (or anyone else that might want to help).

I could not have said it better myself, HandySolo. That photo of the button is worthless in trying to determine the issue you are having.

Ok I apologize …. I thought maybe the general look of the button might be a common problem and would ring a bell for some of you.

Here’s one example of many pages on the site with comments:

and here’s a direct link to the style sheet:

I really have NO idea why the button looks like this.

    Tried it, no dice.

I’ve been up and down the style sheet messing with everything having to do with ‘input’ or ‘submit’ or anything of that nature and nothing seems to effect it.

In fact I’ve actually taken the class right off the button itself… it used to be assigned to the id ‘submit’ I believe.

You’re clearing your browser cache (or forcing a reload) after these edits, right?

I’m using Firefox and Web Dev Extenstion to edit it live. I removed border: 1px solid #bbb; from that section and it definitely changed the look of the button.

Thing is, both colors the button are made up of:

#bcbbb6 for the border and #f0ebd8 for the body appear no where in the style sheet. There really is no reason for the button to be appearing this way.

Wow, now I feel retarded, lol. I wasn’t clearing my browser’s cache. God, it’s always some stupid little thing like that isn’t it?

Oh well, thanks a lot for your help.

lol – don’t feel too bad. I bet I forget at least once a month. πŸ™‚
