I have installed a contact form at http://tooleyspainting.com/contact-us/ with specific dimensions for the Submit button of 100px width by 38px height. All looks great in Firefox, but in Safari and Chrome the button is much smaller.

How do i get around this issue.

Also, is there a way of putting the Captchac and the Captchar on the same line? Whenever I try to do it Captchar is below Captchac by half a line. I have tried adding “vertical-align: bottom” but that doesn’t solve the problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Hi, most of the time the problem comes from the Theme. Can you test one of WordPress defaults themes like Twenty Fourteen or Fifteen?

    Thank you

Thank you, I tried it in Twenty-Ten and it totally screwed up the whole form, not only on the contact us page but on the sidebar widget as well.

    Any other ideas?

Hi, disable all your other plugins except this one and carry out a test.

OK I disabled all plugins and it didn’t have an effect, however what I did find out is that it effects all browsers.

If I am logged in as admin then the Submit button is perfect, but as soon as I logout and pull up the page again, the Submit button is too small.

So I guess it’s not a browser issue after all. It’s a logged in our out issue.

Hi, it might be related to a cache problem in your browsers. I have tested your URL above in IE, Google Chrome and Firefox without any issues. The submit button looks the same in all browsers 🙂

Thank you. Indeed I think you are right. All seems well today.

    Many thanks!
