Submenu's not opening etc
-
Hi there,
I have a food related blog and I came across your theme as I needed a simple but elegant and visually appealing theme. Other food themes are way too flashy and look very bad on mobile. So I was very happy to find your theme!
Only problems I have is the following:
1. When I click on my dropdown arrows for the menu, they almost always dont open but just go as if I just clicked on the main menu part. When I do get them to open to a sub menu, there are sub sub menus, I can not get them to go in there at all, same thing happens as previous. For example, I have a menu heading BBQ Grills, under that is a sub menu called Luxury grills, under that is a sub sub menu showing the different luxury grill brandnames. I can not get those sub and sub sub menu’s to open. Same thing goes for all my menus, I have menu headings, sub menus and sub sub menus in most of my menus so I need this badly lol…
If I can get the little drop down arrow to be spaced a bit further away from the menus I think that could help but I am not sure?
Anything I can do please let me know, I really like the theme!
Thank you for the help!
Dirk

If I understand correctly, you click on a menu item to open the submenu, but it does not open?
I just went to your website and I’m able to easily click on any menu item to show the submenus, even on the second submenu items.
Perhaps I am misunderstanding the issue?
Hi there,
You are not misunderstanding, I misunderstood how the drop down menus work in this theme. I was clicking on the little arrow all the time thinking that’s how I am supposed to get the subs to appear. But I now saw that you click on the actual menu/submenu name and not the menu/submenu arrow to get that done. So don’t worry, it seems to be my fault all along lol
Thank you for the help anyway, didn’t mean to waste your time lol
No worries… the menu style for this theme is a “Toggle Menu” concept, so it’s basically the parent menu item that is made clickable with a blank link using this: #
…then you add submenus to that parent item which are actual links. The arrow part is just an addon to the parent item which shares the same blank link to click and show the submenu items.
However, I just want to make sure everything is OK now?
Thank you for understanding and not judging my “stupid” question lol!
I am part of a huge online community that s is very interactive, even with the owners of the community and the “big guns” and I asked several of the big guns for their opinion of this theme compared to my older flashy one, they all agreed that this one is a lot better!
So all is good now thank you!
Be blessed!
