    Hi there.
I have a question that I can’t figure out the answer through Googling.

I went to great lengths to make my site fast. Now, I want to install a new WP to use Divi builder on. As this plugin is heavy and it’s affecting the overall speed of a site, if I install it on a subdirectory, does the workload of the new installation (Divi and all the rest plugins) affect the speed of the original site? I will use new database and such. Because if this is a fact, I’ll go with a subdomain installation. I want to go with the first option, though, for SEO and branding purposes. That’s why I’m here in need of your help 🙂

I hope my message is readable, my English are not the best you can get.

    Best Regards.

  • It’s not going to make much difference whether you install in a sub-direcory or in a sub-domain. The root issue is still going to be – how much load is your server under.
