Stripe subscription button issue

When creating a stripe subscription button and following the instructions supplied by the plugin I still get a error with the api No API key provided. (HINT: set your API key using “Stripe::setApiKey()”. You can generate API keys from the Stripe web interface. See //stripe.com/api for details, or email support@stripe.com if you have any questions. I made sure my api was correct and everything what am I doing wrong.
