    Hello,

A reader of my blog http://www.contrahealthscam.com reported to me that he can’t subscribe to my email list because of the following message:

ERROR: Sorry, there was an error. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser and try again.

To verify his report, I tested the form using my own email on Google Chrome and succeeded. However, the error came up again when I tested the form using another email and Firefox.
Mind you that as far as I know, both Javascript and cookies are enabled on my browsers.

Please can you help me with this issue? Thank you!

    Hey @obitexa,

I tested the form on your website and did came across the same error. Can you please disable any caching plugin like “WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, etc.” and update us so we can test again?

I have SG CachePress enabled on my website. It is deactivated now.

    Hello @ obitexa,

IWe would need to take a closer look to debug this issue. Would it be possible for you to email us at “support @mc4wp.com” with a link to this post?

Also if possible, can you please disable all plugins except ours and test?

I tested the plugin with all other plugins disabled and the error message disappeared. However, on reactivating the plugins one by one, I expected the error message to reappear but it did not. In fact, it is working well now.

Did you do anything to fix it?

I will send the email as you requested.

    Hello,

I do not have any login details to your website so I have not done anything. The issue could be the result of plugin conflict, where a plugin installed before ours, would be causing the issue. If you run into this same issue again, do let us know.

OK. I will ask my blog reader to try signing up again. Then I will let you know the result.

    Hello,
The error has reappeared again. I can’t figure out which plugin is causing the problem.

    1) Can you please disable all other plugins except ours and then test again to confirm that the problem is really with us.

    2) If with all other plugins turned off you still have this problem, please contact us at support @ mailchimp . com so we can escalate this issue.

Looks like I’ve seen the problem. There is a conflict between the plugin and WP-SpamShield.

Thanks for letting us know! I will mark this as resolved. Please open a new ticket if you have any other questions.

I just ran into this problem and I use both Mailchimp for WordPress and WP-SpamShield. Were you able to find a solution for this?

    Hi @clampdesign,

Please see Troubleshooting Guide Step 9 as it addresses this issue. There is no conflict between the two plugins. If that doesn’t resolve the issue for you, please submit a support request and we’ll be happy to help you resolve the issue.
