    Hello,

    I am using the Magazine Basic theme, with a child theme. I would like to change the style of the Sticky post on the front page.

    My current sticky looks like this: Default Sticky Post Format

    I would like it to look more like this: Desired Sticky Post Format

    I have inserted code into the css style sheet by making chnages via Firebug and then copying that code into the css. I used the following code:
    .sticky {
    color: #404040;
    text-shadow: 0 0 0 #000000;
    }

    .sticky, .sticky .entry-content img {
    border: 1px dotted #404040;
    }

    .sticky {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
    border-radius: 6px;
    color: #404040;
    padding: 20px;
    text-shadow: 0 0 0 #000000;
    }

    .sticky .entry-meta, .sticky .entry-meta a, .sticky .entry-title, .sticky

    .entry-title a, .sticky h1, .sticky h2, .sticky h3, .sticky h4, .sticky

    h5, .sticky h6 {
    color: #404040 !important;
    }

    .sticky .post-category, .sticky .post-category a, .sticky .entry-title

    a:hover {
    color: #333333 !important;
    }

    Obviously I'm doing something incorrectly as it is not showing up on my page, which you can see here: The webpage in question!

    I'm not a coder at all and assumed that just copying the "corrected" version into my child theme style sheet it would update the page.

    Help? Please let me know if you need more information.

    Thanks! :D

    I worked around this by changing the code in the parent style sheet, but would still like to know what I was doing incorrectly.

    Thanks bunches :D
