Static Page url redirect

    I want to have a front page displayed at “mysite.com” and blog posts at “mysite.com/news” but whenever I set a static page and go to my site it redirects me to “mysite.com/static-page-welcome”.
    I’m using the default Twenty Eleven theme.

    How do I do this?

    I assume you’re doing this under Admin Setting / Reading where you can configure a static page and a posts page? If you’ve done this can you check under Settings / General what WordPress Address (URL) is set to? it should be http://mysite.com
