• Good morning to all. This is my first time at these forums and I only learned about WordPress 3 weeks ago so I am a novice. I created a political blog that I intend on growing overtime, http://dropdeadpolitics.com/.

I was interested in having some static content on my front page above my article(blog) section. I want the entire site to act as normal with new blogs pushing down older articles while retaining a static area just below my header. I would like it to be a combination of text and images that remain there at all times unless I manually change the content or delete the area entirely.

Are there any plugins or tricks to accomplishing this goal? Is this something that is feasible in WordPress blogs or do I need an actual website? Any information is greatly appreciated!
