starting wordpress

ok well i need help. i am new to this and i downloaded wordpress and i got the wp-config.php file setup and i think i got it right, now i do the read-me instructions and the /wp-admin/install.php says that i need to upload my wp-config.php or something, how do i do that? or what am i doing wrong? help me!
