I have a wordpress.com blog and hosting and domain through Go Daddy. Trying to download wordpress.org on my Mac. Download it and open and nothing prompts me to install. According to Go Daddy everything is set up on their end. Please help.

you can simply install WordPress through 1 click check software section on your hosting.. it will take some time 10-20 mins to complete all setup..

Ok, I did that yesterday. Installed the WordPress Application on my Go Daddy Hosting. So does that mean all is good? When I access my admin it is still coming up .com.

    I don't see a dashboard or wordpress.org like I have on wordpress.com

You cannot use the same domain name on 2 sites simultaneously. You need to point monogramsandmakeovers.com to your new self-hosted site and then wait for up to 72 hours for the change to propagate fully.

I did the domain mapping when I purchased the domain through GoDaddy.

Then you can point the domain back to your new WordPress install. GoDaddy should be able to assist you with this.

@straitanswers: Please read the original post. The OP has a second, self-hosted, site.
