Hi all. I have been using this plugin for around 6 months, syncing from Woo->Square. Sometimes it creates duplicated products and so I don’t want to switch the master to Square to avoid duplicated products on the website.

However, I do want to be able to update stock levels from our Square Register, using either the ‘Inventory Recount’ or ‘Receive Stock’ function so that all of my staff can do it instead of just me.

Is this possible? Theoretically this works every time there’s an order from Square, and the stock levels on my Woo site are decreased. This would be super helpful.

    Thanks,
    Louisa

    Hi @baysidesoap

To achieve what you are looking for you will need to set Square as your “System of Record” and allow it to sync products to WooCommerce.

Where you are experiencing duplicate products, this is often a case of mismatched SKUs. Every product in Square and WooCommerce needs to have a matching (and unique) SKU.

With Square as your system or record, it will then reduce stock in WooCommerce when an order comes into Square (allowing for time for the inventory to synch).

Please let us know if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help.

    Hi,

Thanks for responding. I don’t really trust the plugin enough to do that as I get duplicates every time I do a manual update. My square database is created by Woo and the duplicated items have the same SKU. I was hoping for a solution where Woo stays the master.

Can you perhaps help me solve the duplicates issue?

    Hey @baysidesoap,

That is most unusual indeed. To help get to the bottom of this we will likely need a bit of help from you. Please open up a ticket at WooCommerce.com about this. You’ll need to log into your account (or create a free one if you don’t have one). Then select Square as the product you’re using.

    https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

Please include screenshots of a couple of the products that have been duplicated from the Square dashboard. Also, edit the same products in WooCommerce and include screenshots of them too.

Lastly, please include a link to this thread in the ticket.

    Thanks!
