Sorting posts, categories manually

I’ll make it brief:

By default, if I have categories like this:

my book
–chapter 1
–chapter 2
–chapter 3

and a chapter is in sections (posts), and then I click on the ‘book’ category, I will just get a bunch of sections from all chapters, sorted by whichever section was last published.

What I would want, though, would be to click on ‘book’ and get all the sections (posts) in the correct order, starting from chapter 1.

How can I, through hack or plugin, sort posts manually this way?
