Some User Redirects Not Working

    Will try to be as clear as I can here.

    Been using UM since mid-2017 and since the version 2 update have had some major issues with the plugin. Most have been resolved by my developer friend but there are at least three big issues still unresolved as of today.

    The biggest problem I have relates to redirects. I send regular emails out to my subscribers with links to new content. Some of my subscribers (not all!) are redirected to my home page and not the intended page with the content they want when they click the link in the email.

    Workaround #1 – For some, the solution is simply to log in to the site and then click the link in the email again. This is a hassle for them, but it sometimes works.
    Workaround #2 – When workaround #1 doesn’t work, I delete their account and then recreate it. I call this the “nuclear option”. So far, this seems to work, but I’m now starting to hear from people I’ve done this for who say it has reverted to sending them to the home page once again.

    I do not know if I have the paid version of UM or the free version. If I need to repost elsewhere, please let me know.

    Did your issue also start with the new update? I’m sure it’s an upgrade for many users, but it’s been a nightmare for me.

    Exactly! I just deactivated the functionality on the settings page. And the turned it on again, and now it works…

    Not sure if it was an update issue.

    Glad to hear that it worked out for you. As you can see, I didn’t get any response from UM here in over a week. So this weekend, my developer has disabled the UM plugin completely and installed CM Registration Pro and AAM which are a little less user-friendly on the backend, but seem to be 1,000x more powerful as far as options and settings go. I don’t think he needed to do anything with the code to get it to do what we need either.

    CM registration pro? I’ll take a look at it. It’s always good to know other options.

    Also, the UM support team takes some to time to answer free users. But they do.
