Solutions for payment processing

    What I’m trying to achieve:
    I’m creating a website where users can list “xyz item”. In order to list something they must pay a fee.

    So now I’m looking for a solution for payment processing, I DO NOT want to be responsible for the CC info, so I guess I’m looking for a gateway. However I would like to keep my user on my website page. I also am not excited about using paypal as its brand screams “your business is to small for a real solution”.

    I understand in order to to never touch the CC info, the user has to go to some other site. Would it be possible to build the cc form as an iframe? and does anyone know of a CC processor that will allow me to style there page with my brand name and logo?

    Also ideally I would like to receive confirmation and allow the listing to be posted automatically after confirmation is received. I am not afraid of coding as I have built the listing feature my self.

    Tell that to Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Nautica, Columbia Sportwear, and hundred other GIANT corporations that use PayPal.

    In order to process CC directly, you have to have a “merchant account” with a bank or cc processing service. That requires that you apply, and may or may not be accepted based on your credit and other factors. Then you are subject to fairly tight privacy and security requirements for your site and business processes. Plus, merchant accounts cost money.

    What you would be allowed to display on your cc page, depends on the merchant account agreement and any processing party agreements.

    Check with your local bank if you want more specific information.
