soliloquy nav bullets

I would like to remove the circular navigation buttons on soliloquy plugin.

.soliloquy-control-nav { display: none; }

I have tried implementing the above line of code into the css file. But does not seem to make a difference. I have searched the forum and found out I am not the only one having this issue.

Could anyone suggest me an alternative please.
