I use WP accessibility to create the skiplinks for screenreaders. In the settings I checked Enable Skiplinks and also Skiplinks always visible. I entered main-content as main container.
That seems to work if use Voice over on iPad.
But still do I get an error in the testtool http://www.varvy.com
saying: ‘No skip to main content link”.
    What goes wrong here?

If you can share a URL, I might be able to help; but I can’t really say anything without seeing the implementation.

OK – there’s no problem with the link; but the tool you’re testing with is not testing the DOM. It’s only testing the page source code. The tool is doing an invalid test, so that problem is not really an issue for you.
