Sitemap redirecction

    Hello,

    I have a problem with your plugin, when I try to access the url of the news sitemap redirects me to this url /sitemap-news.xml/feed/sitemap-news/feed/sitemap-news/

    I don’t know why, nor since how long it has been going on. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi, I’ve seen this happen on another site and there too Polylang is active. I’ve tried to reproduce the issue but cannot.

    Could you tell me the exact settings in Polylang and the news sitemap that you are using? And what other plugins are active?

    Also, could you tell me your exact Permalink settings? And maybe re-save them (without changing them) to see if that fixes it…

    Hi @ravanh Thanks for your answer.

    My permalinks are like this:

    /% category% /% postname% /

    I have saved them again and still not fixed.

    The news sitemaps I am using is XML Sitemap & Google News.

    Regarding Polylang in URL I have this configuration:

    The language is set by the name of the directory in the custom permanent links
    Example: https://hablamosdegamers.com/en/my-post/

    Detect browser language
    disabled

    Custom content types and taxonomies
    disabled

    Custom content types and taxonomies
    Disabled, no option chosen.

    Thanks, I tried with these settings but still cannot reproduce this redirect. Do you have other plugins active?

    Could you try resaving the Polylang settings? I’ve read that that can solve unexpected redirects.

    Also try disabling and re-enabling the xml and news sitemaps on Settings > Reading…

    Hard to say if any of them could cause this redirect by Polylang…

    Any chance you could temporarily put your site in maintenance mode (there are some good plugins that can do that for you) and switch off Polylang? Then clear the WP Rocket cache and quickly check if the redirect disappeared (or not). Then reactivate Polylang and switch off maintenance mode, of course 🙂

    I appreciate your help in debugging very much as it appears you are not the only one that encountered this weird redirect!
