Site unloadable after backup plugin

    Hiya!

    Really pulling my hair out on this one, I’m working on a client site and normally I use UpdraftPlus to backup however for some strange reason I thought I’d try out BackWup.
    After installing and running a backup I noticed the site incredibly slow, 60+ seconds loading times which is well off, even after the backup finished.

    So I’ve uninstalled BackWup but the site is now either incredibly slow or just refuses to load. I’m really stuck with what has happened, I can’t think if there’s a load of data or temporary files somewhere from BackWup that’s lugging the site.

    Any help or advice would be incredibly appreciated, thank you.
