• No matter how much I refresh my page, certain changes to widgets will not take on my page.

If I change colors, it responds fine. But I want to move — have moved — my search bar from the header to the left sidebar. But on the page it remains in the header.

And the ‘About’ widget has boxes asking if I want to display Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter links. I unclick MySpace, but the icon remains on the page — and when I return to the widget, the MySpace box is clicked again! Some of these widgets have a mind of their own…

If I delete a widget and start over, will that clear things up? (I already have hit F5 a million times, even tried CTL-F5. No change.) Or is there something else I can do? I’m using the Techozoic Theme in WP v3.2.1 on a PC.

Thanks to any help you can give.
    Monica

  • Your widget has contents of your plugins?

If I understand you correctly, the content of the plugin is basically there. Regarding the ‘About’ widget, my avatar is there, but I have not entered text yet. The widget comes with options to show the icons for Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. MySpace stays in the widget even when I unclick the box for that option, and when I return to the configuration page of the widget, its box is clicked again.

The Search box, which I had tried last night to move from the header’s right side (at the top of the header), is now in TWO places: still on the right side of the header, but at the bottom, and in the left column (where I had tried to get it to move to).

I also removed a widget tonight, and the page will not reflect that. The widget remains on the page. I’m F5-ing the page to death, with no change.

So, my problem is not the content showing up, but my changes being reflected on my page.
