Site Hijacked?

    All 3 of my blogs have in the past 24 hours had some mysterious code added to them.

    Throughout the code a reference to a tracking page at stelaartois.ru and it has screwed up the rest of the code and no pages are displaying properly.

    Has anyone else experienced or experiencing this problem?

    First off, what are your site’s file and folder permissions set at?

    And yeah, you’ll have to go through and delete the offending code – preferably as soon as you can.

    None of the permissions have been changed = in fact the only thing writeable is the “backup” folder and i change that permission back to non-writeable when I am not doing a backup.

    However, is it not odd that EVERY blog on the same server has the same issue?

    If it’s every blog on the same server (meaning everyone else who also shares that same box with you) has had it happen, yes.

    Whether it’s just you or everyone along with you, I think you should contact the host and find out what’s up.

    OK that is what I thought – I just wanted to make sure that someone else shared my line of thinking and I wasn’t way out there in LEFT field….or RIGHT field for that matter (I am an equal opportunist!) 😉
